Board

The Black History Celebration is governed by a National Board of Directors, supported by an Advisory Board of distinguished leaders, scholars, and advocates. The Board of Directors serves as the primary decision-making body responsible for advancing the vision, sustainability, and impact of the celebration. Working collaboratively, the boards ensure that our initiatives reflect the richness of Black history, amplify leadership, and inspire continued progress across generations.

Board members are committed to promoting unity, preserving heritage, and advancing the mission of Legacy in Motion: Building Tomorrow Through History. Their guidance shapes national programs that foster education, leadership, and community development — ensuring that the legacy of Black excellence remains a powerful force for change.
